Sheri had
nothing to do with hunting or guns most of her life until she met her
husband and had the opportunity to hunt with him and his family. Her first
coyote was killed while hunting deer. She began to notice more and more
coyotes on the farm and started to target them in fear of losing new-born
calves. Since that time she has spent countless hours in the field
listening and learning from her coyotes. She harvested 15 coyotes in less
than a year from her 270-acre Pennsylvania farm. There are hunters out
there with larger numbers but I would dare guess that they don’t limit
themselves to such a small area especially, in a state that is stereotypically not known
as a target rich environment.
Sheri is currently serving Kolpin
Outdoors as Pro Staff representing their calls division. Kolpin
currently owns, Final Approach, Kenco, Lohman, M. A.D. Calls, Feather Flex
and Kolpin ATV products. She has served as a correspondent
for the Wellsboro Gazette, she says "I was born a writer and in 1992 I
joined the hunting arena in turn creating a new genre for my writing."
She has written an article for Fur-Fish-Game, and has appeared on WNEP-TV's
Pennsylvania Outdoor Life television program.
