"When the last thing you want them to hear is you, you need a PREDATR Custom Call."

As many of my loyal customers know, the making of PREDATR Custom Calls - specifically the PS-1 and PS-3 models - has always been a collaborative effort between my dad, Garold Homman, and me. His name may not be recognizable in the calling or call making industry, but without him, I would never have been able to reach the point I have reached in my calling and writing career. Dad was always proud of the calls he turned and enjoyed the pictures and e-mails from customers  who found great success in their use. On April 20, 2006, dad left behind the troubles of this world and answered his maker's call to return home to be with his lord, God. In the wake of his passing, I have made the difficult decision to discontinue all makes and models of PREDATR Custom Calls offered to date. Continuing to make more calls of our cooperative design would only serve to dilute the significance of those already in use. If you presently own a PREDATR Custom Call, you own a little piece of my dad. To me, those calls are each priceless.

I am currently working as time and energy allow to offer a new style of PREDATR Custom Calls that I sincerely think my dad would have really loved, had he lived to see them. (I had three of the new style calls on my work bench ready to tune and ship the evening he died. I just never had the time to take them over and show him.) These calls will be the PS-11 (all wood) and the PS-33 (wood with brass casing mouthpiece). Check back here soon for pictures of these beautiful new calls.

Thank you for your loyalty, support and patronage as a customer of PREDATR Custom Calls.

-Lance Homman

Lance Homman got started making calls out of curiosity.  He wanted to see if he could build something that would measure up to what the other guy was doing.  He was never completely satisfied with the inherent limitations of mass produced calls, and after buying a couple custom calls, he was certain he could make “good” a little better.  So, he went to work and drafted a design that is what we now know as the classic PREDATR Custom Call.

As you can see from the pictures Lance puts together a fine looking, yet practical call.  There is no fumbling to get the call in your hand just right or getting it turned so it fits into your mouth, just pick it up and blow.  PREDATR Calls keep their tonal qualities if you are coaxing that coyote out of the drainage just a few yards away or trying to reach the coyote across the valley.  Each call is hand tuned to Lance’s discerning ear and none are shipped that don’t meet his stringent set of specifications.

Some of you may recognize Lance’s name from articles printed in Trapper and Predator Caller Magazine.  By offering these calls Lance hopes to have completed the proverbial circle, “I offer advice through Trapper and Predator Caller magazine and offer a call that will do the job, if you are successful I have done what I set out to do.”

PREDATR Calls are currently available in the Clasic PS-1, PS-3, and F-150 (by request).  Sorry the F-250 has been discontinued.

PREDATR Calls come in an assortment of wood variations so prices will vary depending on the materials used.  Contact PREDATR Calls directly for prices and availability.
